01
Estimate
From an idea turning into a vision, we’re here to guide you. We offer preliminary free estimates. Our experienced team is equipped to assist you in understanding expectations prior to starting your project.
02
Design Session
Our interior design team is here to make your dream home a reality. From small updates to full-scale renovations, we work closely with each and every client to create a customized plan that meets their unique needs and aesthetic preferences. To achieve this, we plan a design session to listen to your needs and guide you through all the details of the project. This is also when we will collect measurements of your space and start thinking of ideas. After a few days you will already be able to receive your floor planning or 3D drawing if needed.
03
Floor Planning
After having provided the design of your space, the development phase of the project begins. J Framing will schedule a day for flooring planning. Measuring and taping the floor to represent the final layout of the basement. You’ll be able to visualize where future walls will be.
04
Framing
Framing can take up to 3 working days. Wooden 2"X4" studs spaced out 16" center to center. The bottom plate is treated wood that is attached directly to concrete
05
Plumbing
Plumbing might take up to 5 working days. One of the major drawbacks to installing a basement bathroom is the costs involved because, depending on whether you are installing a small half-bath or a lavish full-bath, you can expect to pay between $8,000 to $15,000 on average. While you can save about $1500 to $2,000 if the home already has a rough-in drain system installed, which is becoming more common in newer homes, there are still significant plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material costs associated with this project.
06
Electrical
Electrical installation might take up to 3 working days. Whether doing a basement renovation or finishing the space, professionally installed electrical wiring is always necessary. Placing electrical wiring at the top of our to-do list keeps the basement up to code, is efficient, safe, and ensures longevity
07
Drywall & Insulation
Drywall installation takes up to 4 working days. Drywall and insulation go hand-in-hand when finishing basements, and it is for soundproofing. Anyone who has spent any time in a basement knows how loud everything is. The plumbing, the HVAC, and even the footsteps from someone tip-toeing in the kitchen.
08
Paint
Painting primer and color takes 3 working days. We use Sherwin-Williams paint to ensure the high quality finish. Painting your basement walls brightens and enlivens the space and can even increase your home's value.
09
Flooring
Flooring installation can take up to 2 working days. Luxury vinyl flooring is your best friend when it comes to basements. It’s waterproof, mold-resistant, and durable, available in a variety of designs that mimic the natural look of hardwood and stone.
10
Trim
Installing baseboards and door casing can take up to 3 working days. J Framing has more options for styles and upgrades available for the customer.
